Is it true that in Kyiv, coffins for the Armed Forces are sold in installments?

At the end of March 2024, a video and photos of leaflets from the Ukrainian ritual bureau, where a special promotion allegedly passed, dispersed over the network: soldiers can purchase a coffin in advance, and pay for it later. We checked whether it is real advertising.

On March 27, in the Russian segment of the Internet, there were reports that some residents of the Ukrainian capital found leaflets of the ritual agency "Relicia" in their mailboxes. The proof of this is photography and a five -second video. “In Kyiv, the coffins are sold in installments. Without additional overpayments and commissions for the Armed Forces. Supection until the end of March. That's how they were masculinated, ”says the post of Telegram channel"Russia now"(299,000 views at the time of writing this analysis). Channel "Ukraine.ru"(150,000 views) added:" This is today's Ukrainian reality. " And the authors of the channel "In fact in the Dnieper"(48,000 views) paid attention to the phrase from the leaflet:" One of the points in the booklet is very remarkable: "Lying in our coffin, will you feel all the beauty of comfort" - is this a special cynicism or idiocy? "

According to the TGSTAT service, more than 160 posts on this topic appeared in Telegram, together they gained about 1.3 million views. Channels were written about the tombs for the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces "Alexander Semchenko"(99,000 views),"Gasparyan"(65 000),"Partisans"(47 000),"Uncle Glory in Telegram"(43,000), Avia.pro (22,000), "Olesya Loseva"(15,000) and others. The distributed photograph and video are taken so that it is impossible to determine the location. At the same time, three leaflets with a logo, phone and address are visible in viral images. existing ritual bureau "Relight", working In Kyiv. In addition to the slogan of the alleged action (“Buy now - pay later!”), The booklet shows the following information about the action:

  • Use to buy a coffin in installments until the end of March;
  • without additional overpayments and commissions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • lying in our coffin, you will feel the whole charm of comfort;
  • Our team will help you in a heavy minute 24/7.

To begin with, “verified” tried to track the source from which the spread of the picture and the roller began. The earliest post that we were able to find appeared on March 27 at 14:38 Moscow time in the Telegram channel "Kostyan Cat - Official Channel"(106,000 views). Previously "tested" dozens of times Cauced him in the publication of inaccurate messages. For example, “Kostyan Cat” was one of the first resources to say that leaflets are distributed among Ukrainian pensioners with an appeal to go to the front. Our check showedthat it was a fake.

On the official one site There is no information of the funeral agency "Relight" about the promotion allegedly held before the end of March. On March 29, “verified” sent a request to the press service of the ritual company. “We learned about this incident when these screenshots appeared in our reviews. Of course, we did not have any such shares and we never printed such advertising material. It is unfortunate that such stuffing occurs in numerous Telegram channels and harm both our country and the reputation of our ritual bureau, ”Lisa Babina, manager of the agency, wrote in a response message.

In addition, our colleagues from the Ukrainian factory project "ґvara Mediya" Turned Attention to the linguistic discrepancy present on the captured leaflets. The entire text on the advertising booklet is written in Ukrainian, however, the Russian-speaking abbreviation of the Armed Forces (the Armed Forces of Ukraine) was used, although the correct Ukrainian version is used ZSU (Armed Forces of Ukraine).

Thus, the Kiev Ritual Bureau did not hold a promotion, within which employees in the Armed Forces of Ukraine could buy coffins in installments. This information was refuted by the company allegedly conducting it, and for the first time the viral images of the leaflet (with a mistake in writing the Ukrainian abbreviation) appeared in the pro-Kremlin Telegram channel, previously caught on the spread of fakes. Apparently, the unknown people printed several fake booklets, independently laid them in mailboxes, and then photographed.
