In the second half of August 2025, the actor’s appeal went viral on the Internet, in which he allegedly criticized the American president after his meeting in the United States with the Russian president. We have verified the accuracy of the video being distributed.
Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin met August 15, 2025 in Anchorage, Alaska. Soon, some bloggers and Internet users claimed that Arnold Schwarzenegger published a video message in which he spoke unflatteringly about the behavior of the US President during this summit. It is reported that the actor criticized Trump, calling the American leader a wimp and a little fan of Putin. “I kept asking myself: When are you going to ask for an autograph or take a selfie with him?” - Many authors of similar publications quote Schwarzenegger. At the same time, in the Telegram channel “Putin on Telegram” (181,000 views at the time of writing this analysis) added: “This is not the first attack by the Terminator against Trump. After their meeting with Putin in 2018, Schwarzenegger called him a little boiled spaghetti."
According to the TGStat service, similar posts in total received several million views on Telegram. The channels wrote about how Schwarzenegger allegedly commented on Trump’s behavior in Alaska.Dmitry Nicotin"(324,000 views), "Belarusian security officer"(202,000), "Truthfulness"(175,000), "Ostashko! Important" (twice: 105,000 And 101,000), "Live broadcast"(102,000, post deleted), "KB"(87,000, post deleted), "Petya the First"(79,000), "Mislivets Egor"(58,000), etc. Similar notes are found in "VKontakte", "Zene"and Russian media (among them "Moskovsky Komsomolets", "Constantinople", "Sight", News.ru), as well as in Ukrainian-speaking Telegram channels, pages English And German-speaking X users and on the Estonian portal Lemon. In response to Schwarzenegger's alleged words, State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov named former governor of California, a wizened old man.

Several versions of Schwarzenegger's address to Trump are circulating on the Internet, which mostly differ in subtitles. The most popular version of the video on RuNet provides the following text translation of the actor’s words:
“President Trump, I just watched your press conference with President Putin and it was disgraceful. You stood there like a wuss, like a fan boy. I kept asking myself: when will you ask him for an autograph or take a selfie with him? You betrayed our intelligence, our judicial system and, worst of all, our country. You are the President of the United States, you can't do that. What's wrong with you? Where has the power of words gone - for example, when Ronald Reagan stood at the Berlin Wall and said: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” What happened to all this?
In general, the translation presented above is quite consistent with what the ex-governor of California says in the video. However, on the recording the actor uses the expression a little wet noodle - this is indeed possible adapt into Russian as “rag”, but in literal translation the quote will sound like “small wet noodles” (portal Lemon mistakenly wrote “white” instead of “wet”). This Russian-language version of Schwarzenegger’s statement is very reminiscent of the phrase “small boiled pasta,” which, as reported in some of the publications cited at the beginning of this analysis, the actor said this in relation to Trump back in 2018. However, if you find the original source of the viral video, it will become clear that we are talking about the same appeal.
On July 16, 2018, a Russian-American meeting took place in Helsinki summit. The event was the first full-format meeting between Russian and American presidents after the election of Donald Trump as US President for his first term. Soon after this, on July 17, on his YouTube channel and other social networks (Instagram*, Facebook*) Schwarzenegger published video titled "President Trump, Remember America First." It is completely identical to the video that is being distributed in the second half of August 2025.
How reported American media, Schwarzenegger's tirade was caused by the fact that at a press conference with Putin Trump repeatedly defended Russia from accusations of interference in the 2016 elections and condemned the findings of its own intelligence services. “They told me that, in their opinion, this is Russia. And here is President Putin with me, he just said that this is not Russia,” Trump said then. “I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it could be [Russia]. I have a lot of confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin denied this very strongly and convincingly today.”
“Verified” did not find any appeals to Trump in connection with Putin’s visit to Alaska on the actor’s resources.
Thus, Schwarzenegger’s video message to Trump, which went viral in 2025, is genuine, but in it the actor did not criticize the US president after his meeting with Putin in Alaska. In fact, the video was recorded more than seven years ago, after the Russian-American summit in Finland.
