Is it true that the Kharkov clinic offers recipients of subpoenas to lengthen the life line in the palm of their hand?

In January 2025, a screenshot of correspondence between representatives of a Ukrainian medical center and a potential client spread across the Russian-language segment of the Internet. We have verified the authenticity of this information.

The screenshot shows an alleged dialogue between the administration of the Kharkov clinic “Doctor Alex” and a certain Viber user. The man, having sent a photo of his palm, reports that he has received a summons to the army, and expresses a desire to extend the lines of life and destiny. Representatives of the clinic, after consulting with the doctor, report that the operation will cost 50,000 UAH (about €1,150 - editor's note), after which they set an appointment for the client to complete the relevant documents. Some publications also include a screenshot of an announcement in Russian stating that the clinic transfers 80% of the cost of an online consultation to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Some Russian-language media wrote about this (“Kharkov news feed", "Ukraine.ru") and numerous Telegram channels, including Voblya (142,000), "Sheikh Tamir» (133,000), Anton S Live (105,000), "Gasparyan"(62,000) and Nina Vatt (45,000).

IN palmistry, the occult system of divination by the skin relief of the palms, special attention is given to flexor lines - large folds of skin that form in the folds of the palm and between the phalanges of the fingers. Using the line of life that goes around the phalanx of the thumb, palmists determine how long a person has left to live, what is his level of energy, physical activity, and state of health. The line of fate, crossing the palm vertically in the middle, supposedly carries a similar meaning.

In the early 2010s in East Asia, where palmistry is very popular, they received spreading operations to correct flexor lines. The clinics that advertised them claimed that in this way you could positively influence your destiny. As of the end of 2024, such operations were carried out and in Russia.

Indeed, in Kharkov exists private clinic "Doctor Alex", the logo and one of the addresses of which (Grigory Skovoroda St., 30b) coincide with those presented in the viral screenshot. However, the list of plastic and hand surgery services does not include surgery to correct flexor lines. Moreover, specialists in both fields, as can be seen from schedules, work at the second address - st. Vorobyova, 4, and until 15:00, so arranging a visit to them at exactly 19:00 looks strange. Also, “Verified” did not find information on the clinic’s website or social networks about the transfer of 80% of the income from online consultations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Verified” turned to “Doctor Alex” for clarification. They replied that they practice classical medicine, and the information presented in the viral screenshot is fraudulent and has nothing to do with the services provided at the clinic. In addition, they noted that the clinic does not have a viber signed as in the screenshot.

Response from clinic representatives

Thus, all the data suggests that the information in question is fake. The viral screenshot was distributed exclusively by Russian and pro-Russian accounts; it did not circulate in Ukraine itself. According to the TGStat service, this information was first published on January 14 at 16:54 Moscow time by the Telegram channel “Dill fresh" He repeatedly featured V debriefings “Verified” as the primary source of disinformation about Ukraine.
