Are these complimentary comments by American women about Lavrov’s interview with Tucker Carlson true?

In December 2024, reports circulated on the RuNet that many female viewers from the United States fell in love with the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry after his video interview with an American TV presenter. We have verified the authenticity of the viral comments.

The night of December 4th Tucker Carlson stated, that he again arrived in Moscow, where at the beginning of the year he took interview from Russian President Vladimir Putin. In a video filmed on Red Square, the TV presenter said that he had already talked with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to understand how close the situation in the world is to the start of a nuclear war between the United States and the Russian Federation. Almost an hour and a half interview it turned out two days later - December 6.

On the same day, reports appeared on the Internet that the Russian official had literally fallen in love with the female part of Carlson’s American audience. For example, Telegram channel “Freshness”(194,000 views at the time of writing this analysis) published three screenshots with tweets supposedly proving this and wrote: “Meanwhile, the Americans really liked Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov. The situation in the comments under his interview looks like this: “Damn, his voice... gives you goosebumps. Is he married?”, “What did you say his name is? Loverov?”, “Why can’t our politicians look like him?”, “If all men in Russia are like that, then I’m taking a ticket there.” Russian media also wrote about the same screenshots. For example, the newspaperMoskovsky Komsomolets” released a note that US women fell in love with Lavrov after an interview with Tucker Carlson. Website Life.ru published a similar material with the headline “Lavrov acquired fans in the USA after the interview.” The article claimed that previously the American women did not know who the Russian foreign minister was, but after the interview they allegedly began to share how Lavrov charmed them.

According to the TGStat service, about 400 similar Russian-language posts appeared on Telegram, with a total of approximately 2 million views. Among the most popular are channel recordings “Sheikh Tamir"(131,000 views), "Bocharik (yep, that same one)"(103,000), "KB. Economy"(94,000), "Cat Kostyan"(89,000), "Feed of the day"(82,000) and Maisto (68,000). Ren-TV wrote about the same comments and screenshots (on website and in Telegram), "Tsargrad" (on website And twice V Telegram), "Arguments and facts", Pravda.ru, "Minskaya Pravda" And "Moscow region today" There are similar posts in English - for example, in X viral screenshots distributed Indian division of RT.

The publication "Gazeta.ru" is not only wrote about these images and compliments addressed to Lavrov, but also took comment from the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. “This is a typical reaction. The emotions that Lavrov’s interview evokes in the spectators are close to ecstasy. This time was no exception,” she said.

In total, media and Telegram channels distributed screenshots of eight alleged tweets. “Verified” sorted out each of them.

This comment was supposedly left by Jessica Berlin, which, according to its description profile at X, works as a senior fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis and specializes in security and international development issues. Reportedthat she was born in Seattle into a mixed German-Korean family. Judging by profile Berlin on the crowdfunding platform Buy Me A Coffee, it collects donations to support Ukraine, so such a complimentary comment from this user under Lavrov’s interview would look strange.

"Verified" didn't find it similar message on the Berlin page, although on December 4, under Carlson’s post announcing the interview, she wrote: “You understand that the Kremlin is nervous when they whistle for Tucker to come to Red Square and excitedly shout about nuclear Armageddon.” Moreover, this tweet has approximately the same indicators for views, likes, reposts and replays as the message from the viral screenshot.

“WHAT? Why can’t our politicians look the same?”

Samira allegedly asked this question in X (judging by the username, her surname is Khan). From the description profile it follows that the girl works as a correspondent. At the time of writing this analysis, the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, is indicated as her place of residence, although in October 2024 in this capacity mentioned State of New Jersey in the USA. According to some sources, Khan is Pakistani-American. She also has a page on "VKontakte”, which says that she lives in New York, and in 2017-2018 she was an RT correspondent in Washington. The publication Lenta.ru in 2018 in a note entitled “The journalist laughed at the Gulag and regretted it” also called the girl is an employee of this Russian state media holding.

At the time of writing this analysis, the last replay that Khan left under Carlson's tweets, was published on December 4. "Great! I love Moscow,” wrote a girl under an announcement that an interview with Lavrov will be released soon. The tweet from the viral screenshot on her “Verified” page was not found.

“What did you say his name was? Lovers?

This pun (in English the word “love” is consonant with the first half of Lavrov’s last name) was allegedly shared by user Christina Miro. Social network X has such an account - according to description, it is owned by a nutritionist and mother of four. The profile does not indicate the user’s place of residence, but most posts relate to American politics. Judging by many of Miro's tweets and reposts, she supports Trump and actively spreads conspiracy theories, some of which are related to vaccination. Among them myth that vaccines cause autism in children.

If you believe results search in X, Miro left comments under Carlson’s tweets three times: in 2022, 2023 and 2024. The last replay was published on December 4 under the announcement of Lavrov’s interview, and in it were said only the following: “Go, Tucker!” The woman also reposted the video.

“Are all their men like this? If yes, then I’m booking a ticket to Russia!”

She allegedly expressed a desire to look at other Russian men after watching an interview with Lavrov Lynette Kennedy McQuain. According to her profile, she ran for the West Virginia House of Delegates and the U.S. Senate from 2010-2012. confirm and others sources. Now, judging by her posts, McQuain supports Trump.

“Verified” studied the woman’s page and found reposts of both the announcement and Lavrov’s interview itself. However, the comment about booking a ticket to Russia there No. Nevertheless, on December 5, under the announcement of the imminent release of McQuain’s interview wrote: “Thank you, Mr. Tucker Carlson.”

An image of a T-shirt with a photo of Lavrov and the inscription “We Loverov” was allegedly shared by a user Natalie F. Danelishen. Judging by her profile and tweets, she is a conservative blogger from Ohio who supports Trump.

Denelishen often comments Carlson's recordings, and over the last month she left two replays. On December 6, during an interview, she wrote: “We can put an end to this without interfering in the war between Russia and Ukraine. It's none of our business." And two days earlier, the girl commented on the announcement of Carlson’s conversation with Lavrov with the words “I’ll just send it in advance” and posted an ironic collage showing photos of various people who interviewed Putin. Almost all the photographs are captioned “Journalism,” with the exception of the frame with Carlson, where it is written “Treason.” Moreover, this post, as in one of the cases discussed above, has approximately the same number of views, likes, reposts and replays as a tweet from a viral screenshot. On the same day, blogger reposted Carlson's announcement video with the words: "Tucker is doing more to bring peace to the entire planet than all the political leaders in power."

“Holy shit, Tucker! You are helping to save the world (I swear to God) in a way that only you can. Much respect for the choice of speaker. He is fire! Bravo".

The screenshot indicates that this is a message from a certain Mila Joy. Such an account on social network X is really exists from August 2023. According to the description, its owner is a wife and mother, as well as a conservative and Donald Trump supporter from Washington State. Previously, fakes were published on this page - for example, in one of the tweets statedthat photos and videos of the crowd at Kamala Harris' meeting with supporters were created using a neural network. How wrote "Verified", it is not.

December 4 Joy's profile reposted Carlson’s announcement with the following caption: “Wow. Tucker in Russia. He's trying to figure out how close we are to nuclear war. He just met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and asked questions that every American should know the answers to.” On December 6, the same account retweeted the interview itself and named its very important. Regarding the message from the viral screenshot, we found a similar but slightly different tweet written on December 4, before the interview was released. He read: “Holy shit, Tucker! You are helping to save the world (I swear to God) in a way that only you can. Questions. Bravo". Mila Joy did not write that Lavrov is “fire”.

Men about Lavrov

Not all the comments in the viral screenshots were written by women - two replays, judging by the names and descriptions, were left on behalf of men. Moreover, only one of these records directly concerns the Russian minister.

“I want the same crackle as in his voice!”
Photo: social networks

Somebody allegedly wanted to have a voice like Lavrov’s Michael Sung. There is no description or location marked on his profile - all that is known is that the account was registered in October 2022. Judging by his tweets, Sung is interested in military aviation.

According to a search on social network X, this user many times left comments under Carlson’s posts, the last time (at the time of writing this analysis) was December 5th. As in previous cases, the replay was left not under the interview itself, but under its announcement. “I really want to see it, thank you...” - shared Sung. The blogger did not write anything about Lavrov’s crackling voice.

“We need more real news from Russia. It is absurd that we are moving away from the most important ally we should want.”

This is how Lavrov’s interview with Carlson was allegedly commented on by the Maga loves bald lefty chicks account created in March 2024, whose description in X reads: “A self-employed father who cares about the future of his children. America comes first." The profile owner's place of residence is listed as the non-existent city of Gofuckyourself (“Idinahren”) in Missouri.

According to search According to the platform, in 2024 this account left replies to Carlson’s tweets only three times: July 4, October 29, and December 4. The third comment was posted under the announcement of Lavrov’s interview, and its text in full corresponds the way he is presented in the viral screenshot. Maga loves bald lefty chicks also retweeted Carlson's announcement video.

Thus, the enthusiastic comments of American women from viral screenshots were faked. The original tweets were published not under Lavrov’s interview itself, but under its announcement. At the same time, the minister himself was not mentioned in any way in those posts. Apparently, the authors of the fake screenshots edited the tweets and the time of their publication in advance - before the interview was released, so as not to bother themselves with night work (Carlson's X account posted the video around 02:00 Moscow time). Subsequently, the collection also included one partially edited post and one authentic one, but their authors also did not admire Lavrov.

The earliest post with fake screenshots that "Verified" was able to track appeared December 6 at 10:28 Moscow time in the “Sheikh Tamir” Telegram channel. This channel is one of the record holders for the number mentions in our analyses.
