In December 2024, a fragment of an American program went viral on social networks, in which a man allegedly got an anti-Ukrainian tattoo on his buttock and thigh, and then demonstrated it on air. We have verified the authenticity of the video being distributed.
The video appeared on the Internet on December 5, but began to spread en masse the next day. Telegram channel «KB +18“(211,000 views at the time of writing this analysis) in his post on December 6 commented on the video as follows: “On the American Fox channel in a show about blind tattoos (the person does not fully know what they will get), a girl ordered her pro-Ukrainian friend to get a tattoo “Ukraine is crap” on used toilet paper.”
According to the TGStat service, at the time of writing this analysis, more than 210 similar Russian-language posts were published on Telegram, with a total of about 1.4 million views. Among the most popular are channel recordings “Bottle"(149,000 views), "Uncle Slava" (128,000), "Bloodseeker 2.0"(126,000), Voblya (85,000), "All-Seeing Eye 18+" (61,000) and "Petya the First"(59,000). The video is also found in "VKontakte"(examples here, here And here) and social network X, where a popular English-speaking blogger spoke about the viral video Ian Miles Chong, a right-winger who wrote column for RT.
None of the publications discovered by “Verified” indicate the name of the show, an excerpt of which went viral on the Internet, but it is specified that it was aired on the Fox channel. Using a reverse screenshot search, we determined that we were talking about the transfer How Far Is Tattoo Far? (American version of the British show Just Tattoo of Us), which was broadcast from 2018 to 2019 on MTV. Each episode of the show featured pairs of lovers, friends, or relatives designing tattoos for each other, with the tattoos only revealed after they were applied.
On the MTV YouTube channel, the excerpt that served as the basis for the viral video was published back on June 27, 2019. According to the description, in this episode second season How Far Is Tattoo Far? Best friends Kenny and Sarah have created huge drawings for each other that reveal their dirty secrets. Thus, the girls had the phrase Class D Virgin (“Low Category Virgin”) tattooed on their lower backs. Next, the man’s tattoo was demonstrated: an image of a soiled toilet paper roll with flies flying next to it was applied to his right buttock and thigh.
In a show that aired on MTV five years ago, the tattoo did not include the inscription about Ukraine. Unknown people edited the original video and added the phrase “Ukraine is shit” to the tattoo. Additionally, a Fox logo was added to the upper right corner of the fake, even though the show was on a different channel.

The earliest post with a fake video that “Verified” was able to track was published on December 5 at 14:40 Moscow time in the Telegram channel “Bear"(7000 views). This is not the first time mentioned in our analyses, because many times he spread misinformation and became its primary source.
This is not the first time that the authors of anti-Ukrainian fakes use excerpts from such television programs in their “creativity.” For example, in February 2023 in Runet spread a fake fragment of the reality show Ink Master of the Paramount channel, in which a fake frame with a tattoo of Vladimir Zelensky was inserted and a non-existent screensaver with the logo of the Apple TV+ streaming service was added. In November of the same year got infected video with an excerpt from the Just Tattoo of Us program on British MTV. Then unknown people changed the tattoo shown in the show, adding Zelensky’s face and the inscription Counteroffensive up my ass (“Counteroffensive up my ass”).
