A song has been popular on the Internet for many years, beginning with the words “You know, we will have children,” which is attributed to Yanka Diaghileva. We have verified that this attribution is correct.

A song attributed to Yanka Diaghileva entitled "Children", "We will have children" or "You know, we will have children" especially popular in "VKontakte", where it can be found in dozens playlists, and on YouTube, where one of her publications received 929,000 views.

Yanka Diaghileva (real name: Yana Stanislavovna Diaghileva) is one of the most prominent representatives of the Siberian rock underground of the 1980s. She died in 1991 under mysterious circumstances, when she was only 24 years old. By this time, she had managed to record seven solo albums and take part in the recording of several albums of the Civil Defense group. After Yankee's death, several more of her discs were released, and some of the songs were published for the first time. However, there is no song with the words “You know we will have children” on any of the known albums singers.

The earliest publication of this song with attribution to Yanke, which “Verified” was able to find on the Internet, is dated April 28, 2010. Video published on YouTube signed "Rainbow and Yanka Diaghileva - We will have children." Moreover, among the famous groups with whom cooperated Yanka, there is no group called “Rainbow”.

In August of the same year, a video with a song entitled “Yanka Diaghileva - Our Children” appears and on another YouTube channel with the clarification “It’s not her who sings, only her poems.” All of Yankee's surviving poems have been published on website, dedicated to her memory, but we did not find the text of this song among them. And one of the comments to the video, left at the same time, in 2010, reads: “This is not Yanka, this is the Butterfly Camera group.”

Indeed, in the earliest publications songs on YouTube (January 20, 2010) Yanka is not mentioned. The group “Butterfly Cameras” is listed here as the authors and a link is provided to its official page in “VKontakte" There, the song “Children” is even in two versions: with the usual arrangement and “Children of light” with an acoustic guitar - it is this version that is attributed to Yanka on the Internet.

As stated in the account "Butterfly cameras"on the Last.fm website, the group was founded in the Vladimir region in 2005, although its official birthday is considered December 20, 2008 - the day of its first big performance at the Rock-Itog - 2008 festival. At the same time, as they say there, the song “Children” was composed by the vocalist of the “Butterfly Chambers” Elena Sviripa back in 1999 and then recorded an acoustic version. In 2012, Sviripa moved from the Vladimir region to Kharkov and the group ceased to exist.

Thus, the song “You know we will have children” has nothing to do with Yanka Diaghileva. It was written in 1999, eight years after Yankee's death. Its author is Elena Sviripa, who later became the vocalist of the group “Butterfly Cameras” and recorded a new version of the song with her.
