In August 2024, network users began to spread a picture allegedly taken in the UK. It was claimed that it depicts London police, kneeling in front of Muslims. We decided to check if this is a photo genuine.
The picture spread in Telegram channels on August 16. Many bloggers considered him the “best illustration” of the UK migration policy. For example, a member of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, Kirill Kabanov wroteThat this is a photograph “from the streets of today's London”, and suggested hanging it in the Russian police branches, “so that it was visually clear to everyone how the uncontrolled migration could end.” The channels also shared this image with similar comments "The world today with "Yuri Podolyak""(1.7 million views at the time of writing this analysis), Zergulio (608 000) and the channel of the VGTRK employee Andrei Medvedev (123,000).

July 29 in the British sautport There was a tragedy: The young man armed with a knife burst into a dance lesson and killed three children, eight more minors and two adults were injured. The attacker was soon detained, and through the country spread The rumor that he is a refugee from the Middle East. In an attempt to stop the pogroms and clashes of right -wing radicals with Muslims and the police, I decided to make public The name of the criminal-it turned out to be 17-year-old Axel Mugansv Rudakuban, who was born in the UK, the son of immigrants from Rwanda. Nevertheless riots continued For several days. So at a time when a viral photograph spread, the topic of police and Muslim relations in the UK was more than relevant.
“Verified” could not be found in the British media neither this picture, nor a description of the incident that would help to understand what is happening in the image. No collective apologies before the Muslim community of Great Britain were recorded by the police.
The most obvious assumption that may arise is the photograph taken using artificial intelligence. When creating images on which people are present, neural networks are not easy to generate human limbs and small details of appearance.
The most characteristic example is the fingers of which in such images there are more necessary, and sometimes they acquire a strange shape. A man who stands in a police uniform on the left, the index finger of his left hand flows into the brush of his right hand. And a person in Muslim clothes, which stands on the right, is an unusually long finger.

Another noticeable detail is the legs of the police. In the lower left corner, a leg is visible, the owner of which is difficult to calculate - not one of the depicted policemen can be in this position.

Finally, the faces of people standing in the background also look unnatural - some of them are distorted and devoid of symmetry.

Facts from the project Logically Facts, which specializes in the exposure of fakes created using artificial intelligence, checked the image using several special programs and came to the conclusion that the photograph, apparently, was generated by neurosetes. Service HIVE MODERATION rated such a probability of 99.8%, Huging Face - in 85%, Illuminarty AI - In 77.3%.
The earliest publication with this image, which managed to find “verified”, is the post of user of the social network X with Nickniem RadiogenoaPlaced on August 15 at 08:41 Moscow time. The picture is accompanied by the signature: "How London sees AI." This blogger is more than once used Artificial intelligence for creating images that promote racist, anti -migrant and transfer narratives. Soon, the picture with the British police as a really existing began to spread the British, and followed by Russian users of social networks.
