Is it true that the Kiev Metro issued travel tickets with images of kissing men?

In June 2024, messages appeared in Telegram channels that the Kiev Metro had developed a special design for transport cards dedicated to Pride Month. We have verified the accuracy of such publications.

In early June, an image of a new ticket for Kiev public transport began to circulate on Telegram, and the captions to the picture claimed that the design was presented by the Kyiv Metro. Similar posts were posted, for example, by the channels “The world of Mikhail Onufrienko"(236,000 views at the time of writing this analysis), "Tucker Carlson for Russia"(63,000), "Pirates of the Black Sea: Fascist Pokemon"(54,000) and Nina Vatt (39,000). The news also appeared in the publications of some Russian Media and users Facebook, "VKontakte", X And LiveJournal.

The earliest publication about a Pride travel pass that Verified was able to discover appeared on the Telegram channel “Tucker Carlson in Russian and others"(16,000 views) June 4 at 12:59 Moscow time. This channel repeatedly mentioned in our debriefings as a distributor of fakes about Ukraine, the USA and the European Union.

Thus, reports about the new design of the transport card in Kyiv are not true. There is no mention of this innovation on the resources of the Kyiv Metro, and the “Kiev Digital” service denies the issue of such a pass.
