In February 2024, the media and social networks reported that Ukrainian authorities allowed a pharmaceutical company to secretly test a new drug in the country. An employee of Pfizer’s Kyiv office allegedly said that several dozen children became victims of the tests. We have verified the accuracy of this story.
February 7 in the TV presenter’s Telegram channel Vladimir Solovyov (268,000 views at the time of writing this analysis), citing the Chicago Chronicle, they wrote that Pfizer was conducting vaccine trials in Ukraine, during which 40 children died. “Video recordings and documents allegedly confirming the experiment and the death of children were made public by Anna Sakhno, an employee of Pfizer’s Kyiv office. All the company’s activities were carried out with the approval of the Office of the President, and even 40 deaths, as the publication writes, did not cause the experiment to be stopped. The third wave of vaccinations with the same experimental vaccine in Kyiv will take place in February 2024,” the propagandist’s post said. In a publication by a TV presenter Ruslana Ostashko (111,000 views) it is clarified that parents are not told what their children are vaccinated with. “Nevertheless, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health and Zelensky are aware that an experimental vaccine is being tested on children, leading to a mortality rate of 4-5%, which led to the death of at least 40-50 children out of more than 1,000 vaccinated (who have already been vaccinated in five Kyiv hospitals). The control group is children 5–11 years old,” states Ostashko’s Telegram channel. Other authors lead additional data: for example, it is reported that the dangerous drug was developed in Germany, its testing began in November 2023 and is carried out under the guise of a regular flu vaccination, and Pfizer receives all the necessary data from the electronic registries of Kyiv clinics.

The authors of most of the above posts and news items noted that the American publication Chicago Chronicle was the first to report on secret experiments on Ukrainian children. Moreover, they also provided a link to the original article on the corresponding website.
However, everything indicates that this is a non-existent media. "Verified" found that the domain chicagochron.com was created January 18, 2024, while on the website indicated, that the publication supposedly appeared in 2021. The project does not have social networks. At the time of writing this analysis, the resource is no longer functioning because it was blocked for violating the rules companies LiquidNet Ltd is a UK domain name registrar.
When the site was still available, “Verified” studied it and found many errors and inconsistencies. Thus, many tabs from the menu did not work (for example, “Work with us”, “Advertising” and “Terms of use”), and in the sections “About Us" And "Contacts" contained e-mail addresses, photographs and text placeholders in Latin, which are found on many similar free sites (examples here, here And here). At the same time, the Chicago Chronicle logo in the site header differs from what is presented in the menu - for some reason there the resource is called The World Times. A site with this name (and logo) exists, it is completely identical to the source of the sensational news about vaccine trials on children. Moreover, some Chicago Chronicle headlines were written using Russian words or composed entirely in Russian, which seems strange for a publication that positions itself as American.
The Chicago Chronicle article is based on the words of a woman who introduced herself as Anna Sakhno and said she worked for Pfizer in Ukraine. She recorded her revealing comments on video, in which she was dressed in medical clothing. It is not possible to confirm the identity of this woman, since most of her face is hidden by a mask, glasses and a medical cap. Moreover, our colleagues from the fact-checking project StopFake contacted with the European office of Pfizer, whose representative said that the company does not and never has had an employee named Anna Sakhno (in theory, this could be a pseudonym, but this is not reported anywhere). The press service also stated that no research is currently being carried out in the Kiev unit. Pfizer spoke with Logically Facts confirmedthat the person in the video does not work for the company, and the mentioned vaccine for children is fiction. “With regard to our clinical trials in Ukraine: when the conflict began in 2022, in the interests of patient safety, we made the necessary decision to suspend the enrollment of new participants in clinical trials. At the same time, we are focused on maintaining ongoing care for those patients who are actively participating in ongoing multi-year studies,” Pfizer said.

Hi all. Today I want to share some terrifying news with you. For my new subscribers: I am a senior researcher at the Pfizer plant in Kyiv. Previously, our responsibilities included only importing medicines to Ukraine and distributing them here. However, recently we were involved in a big project. I was recommended for participation due to my experience in clinical trials. As far as I know, Pfizer's studies are usually conducted in strict accordance with international medical standards and regulations. At least in the documents that were provided to me for review, all norms were strictly observed. However, the new COVID vaccine trial currently underway is a nightmare. Children are dying. Moreover, the subjects do not even suspect that they are being experimented on. These trials need to be suspended immediately, but my employers refuse to send the vaccine for further development.
Last November, Pfizer introduced a new drug being tested, codenamed C6160b, a new generation of COVID vaccine for children. It is administered to children aged 5 to 11 years under the guise of a flu shot. Pfizer employees are involved only in the analytical part of the trials, and the injections are given by local nurses in several children's clinics in Kyiv. I don’t know if they are aware that they are suggesting that parents give their children our new drug, and not the German equivalent of the flu shot. We have no connection with hospitals. There is some agreement with the Ministry of Health, so we get all the data on the patients’ condition from there. They have an electronic register into which data from city clinics is entered.
The first phase [of the trial] was completed very quickly because management was satisfied with the results. But even then I was unhappy because the sample size was too small, which I repeatedly said in meetings. Nevertheless, the results satisfied everyone else, so the trials moved into the second phase. And that's when the horrors began. A huge scandal broke out in the research department. Within a couple of days after the injections, patients were hospitalized with hypertension, chest pain and fever. There were also several cases of fainting. We sounded the alarm on the fourth day, when the first death occurred. 4% deaths and 20% hospitalizations - these are the dismal results of vaccination. Normally, this would have led to an immediate review of the drug, but after a short investigation, everything was attributed to improper conditions of transportation of the batch, and we were ordered to continue testing. This violates all existing norms. The Ministry of Health did not object because the project was agreed upon with President Zelensky.
As a result, the first was followed by a second series of vaccinations. Another 300 children were vaccinated with almost the same result. I wrote a report demanding that the tests be stopped immediately. Today I was informed that the transition to the third phase has been approved and that the drug will be finalized in the process. According to them, the company only has time until May, so no one is going to shift, freeze or cancel the tests. I have no words. We started these studies to help children, not to hurt or kill them.

Right behind our office is the Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery with a children's department - several children were brought there. Our experts could personally examine them. The next phase is scheduled to begin on February 12th. Tomorrow I will again demand that the authorities stop the tests. I can't just watch our country become a testing ground for illegal medical research.
“Verified” could not find data on similar studies of the vaccine against COVID or flu on the website ClinicalTrials.gov — an online database with information about clinical trials and their results. According to Google search, drug code name C6160b meets only in reprints of the Chicago Chronicle article and rebuttals from fact checkers. IN report Pfizer on January 30, 2024, mentions a preventive vaccine against COVID-19 for children aged 5–11 years, but it has already been registered and its clinical trials passed a couple of years ago. As for the documents shown in the video, they are ordinary A4 sheets with tables and graphs that anyone can prepare and print.
Judging by the design of the video, Sakhno initially posted video messages in her TikTok account, which at the time of writing this analysis is available only to subscribers. However, the Chicago Chronicle and Russian-language publications refer to the YouTube version of the appeal, which user under the nickname Pastor 89 posted February 3 (his account was created earlier that day). The video did not become a sensation: it collected only 11,000 views and less than 50 comments (while the authors of some claim that this video was staged). “Trying to help Anna spread the word. "Unfortunately, due to recent changes to the 'content policy', her video is being removed on all platforms," the YouTube caption reads.
According to Sakhno's profile, she still has available 93 likes from other users, that is, some videos should still be available in the account or they were hidden by her. But, most likely, the videos we are interested in have never appeared on TikTok. “Verified” examined the YouTube version of the video and found numerous signs of editing on it. For example, the recording shows that TikTok videos have three different captions (appearing at the timestamps 00:00, 01:16 And 04:55), that is, we can assume that Pastor 89 edited together three different videos. However, two of them had the same number of likes (108), shares (11) and comments (24), which seems an unlikely coincidence.
At the mark 04:55 you can see how most of the interface icons, including the avatar, menu buttons and reactions to the video, slightly change their location, which should not happen.
Moreover, at the mark 05:38 You can see that the TikTok bottom menu has been carelessly superimposed on top of the original video, as the original footage is visible around the edges.
Thus, the story about testing a dangerous vaccine on Ukrainian children with Zelensky’s permission does not have any clear evidence. The whole news is based on the words of a certain woman who claims to work for Pfizer, although the company itself has denied this. The video with the appeal contains a lot of graphic manipulations, and the first resource that talked about the supposedly fatal clinical trials turned out to be the already blocked website of a non-existent American media outlet.
This is not the first time “Verified” has come across a similar scheme for creating and distributing fakes: false information is spread through revealing videos of certain insiders, who then rebroadcast little-known resources posing as media outlets. Thus, earlier we refuted reports based on the same principle that Zelensky bought two yachts for $75 million and several houses in the USA, Egypt and Germany that his wife during a visit to New York spent over $1 million in jewelry and that her fund connected with child trafficking.
