Is it true that lubricants with photographs of Dudia, Pugacheva and Slepakov began to sell in Russia?

In December 2023, photographs and videos of intimate lubrication with portraits of celebrities on the label were scattered on the Internet. We decided to check whether such goods were really on sale.

Photos of products under the CONTEX brand depicted by celebrities and the signature “Lubriant-Relocans” are divided users of social networks (X, "VKontakte","Classmates") And the Platform blog ("Picabu","Zen"). Discuss the new branding of goods and at entertainment forums. The most widespread news went into Telegram, where channels were written about it "Eggplant"(286,000 views at the time of writing this analysis),"Prometheus"(265 000),"Truthfulness"(192 000),"Sheikh Tamir"(136 000),"The first folk"(115 000) and others.

As evidence of the media, bloggers and ordinary Internet users use three photos and one video. All these materials captured the same rack in the store. No other evidence of the existence of goods with such a label was “verified” to find. If such lubricants really appeared on sale, probably several consumers at once would like to share this information in social networks, but this did not happen.

Judging by other products that got into the frame, shelves with goods in the dismantled pictures and video are located in the supermarket, even at least by the environment, it was not possible to understand which retailer the store belongs. On the sites of large Russian retail chains (for example, "Crossroads","Auchan","Dixie","Five","Ribbons" And "The alphabet of taste") The lubricant in such a package could not be found. Of course, it cannot be ruled out that online stores could not have time to update the images of goods on sites after the redesign. However, there is no information about the new label and on the pages of the manufacturer-for example, in "VKontakte", Which is quite actively updated. “Verified” sent a request to Contex, but at the time of writing the analysis of the answer has not yet received.

If you look at the photo and video more closely, you can notice that the price tags on the shelf do not correspond to the calculation of the goods: the condoms of the same manufacturer should lie on the site of lubricants. Nearby, the price tag for superglines is visible-this excludes the likelihood that one of the buyers simply accidentally moved the lubricants on the shelf.

When the author of the video picks up the lubricant and turns it in the back of it, the label indicates: “Contex“ Wave ”gel lord.” It is logical to assume that even in the case of adding a photo of celebrities to the label, the name of the goods should still be indicated on the front side, as is done on original packaging of this lubricant.

Earlier on the Internet, the news spread that the manufacturer of “I” drinks released birch sap with the inscription “I am Russian»On the package. “Verified” already disassembled this information, and it turned out that it was not true: other labels were simply glued to apple juice bags. Then, along social networks, several photos and videos of the same shelf also scattered - their author, as in the case of lubricants, picked up one of the goods and demonstrated it on camera. If you take a closer look at the images, you can notice that the manicure on the hand holding the juice, and the one that holds an intimate lubricant is very similar. It is highly likely that the author of the video about the juice “I am Russian” and the lubricant “Lubricant-rolocans” is the same person.

In these two stories, the resources from which the spread of photos and videos began. The earliest post with the pictures of the lubricants, which “verified” was found, went out in the Telegram channel “The aggregator»December 8, 2023 at 12:51 pm Moscow time. A little later, at 13:34, in the channel "The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation»There was a video. In the case of the “I Russian” juice, the sequence was the opposite: first the photo appeared in the channel ”The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation", And then the video in"Aggregator".

Finally, the release of such products, if it actually happened, could violate Russian legislation. Using photos of private individuals is regulated by an article 152.1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, according to which the consent of the image is required for this. There are several exceptions from the article: so, consent is not required if the photo is used in public and public interests, if a person has been paid for the shooting or if the photo is taken at any public event (but in this case it should not be the main object of use, as is done on the labels of lubricants). The image of people on the product can hardly be considered public interests, and it is extremely doubtful that Pugachev, Slepakov and Dud agree to shoot for such goods. In case of violation of this norm of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, material media by decision of the court are subject to seizure and destruction without compensation. It seems unlikely that a large manufacturer of contraception and other intimate products begin to risk his goods so for the sake of black PR, which is not even covered in his own social networks.

Thus, it is extremely doubtful that Contex actually placed the faces of celebrities who left Russia on the package of his lubricants. In addition to several photos and one video taken at the same store shelf, there are no other evidence of the existence of goods with such a label. The ways of spreading these evidence are similar to the already debunk fake about the birch juice “I am Russian”. Moreover, the pictures and video recording of both goods are probably made by one person. In addition, the use of people for people for commercial purposes without their consent in Russia is illegal, and it is not clear why a large manufacturer would risk it. As in the case of the “I am Russian” juice, most likely a home -made label is simply glued to original goods - especially for photos and videos, which eventually dispersed through social networks.
