Is it true that a fictitious person named Yourc Litoris was in the “Peacemaker” database for a year?

In October 2023, a story spread across the Internet about a prank allegedly perpetrated by a German user against a well-known Ukrainian resource. We have checked whether this information is correct.

As reported in the news, the prankster deceived the administration of the Myrotvorets website, where activists collect data from people considered enemies of Ukraine. The German allegedly forced the moderators to post there a dossier on a person named Yourc Litoris (distorted Your Clitoris, “your clitoris” translated from English). This fictional character was accused of hating Ukrainians and the Ukrainian language. Litori's dossier allegedly hung on the site for a whole year, until the prankster himself told about the curious case.

Attached to the message were screenshots of publications in the German-language publications Junge Freiheit, Junge Welt and n-tv, where the prankster’s story was allegedly told, as well as a fragment of Litoris’s card on “Peacemaker”.

Resources such as “Mriya" And "I cried", as well as Telegram channels "Signal"(182,000 views at the time of writing this analysis), Voblya (160,000) and "Sheikh Tamir"(121,000).

Website "Peacemaker"exists since the spring of 2014. He bought fame thanks to publications with information about people involved in supporting the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR, who visited the annexed Crimea or simply made hostile, in the opinion of moderators, statements regarding Ukraine. The site has been repeatedly criticized by the UN and European structures for a possible threat to the safety of individuals whose personal data is posted in the database. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in response to this stated, which itself does not have the leverage to close the site, since it is run by activists and not government agencies.

As of November 8, 2023, the Myrotvorets database actually does not contain information about a person named Yourc Litoris. However, the page with the address containing the specified first and last name (this is the standard form for “Peacemaker”) is also missing in “Internet Archive”, although it could well have been indexed within a year. Also, there are no traces of her in search results. Google, while the entry was supposed to be on the site until October.

Let's take a closer look at the screenshots that accompanied the viral publication.

A screenshot allegedly from the “Peacemaker” website, judging by the design, taken from search pages according to the database, and not from the page dedicated directly to Litoris.

However, when compared with other cards from this section, it is easy to notice the differences. This includes the order of words in the full name (the surname should come first), their color, and the font. In addition, the card contains the beginning of a full description from the person’s profile, where activists explain the reasons for his inclusion in the database. Usually these descriptions are quite detailed and, unlike the case with Litoris, are not included in the search results in their entirety.

The prank was allegedly written about in the publication Junge Welt at the same time, on October 23.

Search engine Google finds no traces of mentioning a person named Yourc Litoris on other foreign sites - the entire distribution of the news is limited to the Russian-language segment of the Internet.

According to the TGStat service, the first Telegram channel to publish a message about the prank was “Sheikh Tamir", who posted it on October 24 at 10:16 Moscow time. This channel has been around dozens of times already spotted in the dissemination of false information. This case was no exception. All data suggests that the news is completely falsified.
