In early November 2023, an advertising video was encouraged in social networks, in which the IDF soldier allegedly calls for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to leave Ukraine and join the ranks of the Israeli army, where they pay more. We checked the reliability of this video.
The video began to spread in Runet on November 1 and gained the most popular in Telegram, where at the time of writing this analysis it received more than 650,000 views. In the channel "Ukraine.ru"(110,000 views) The viral recording was commented as follows:“ The viewers of YouTube located in Ukraine are increasingly seeing such an advertisement. From the screen, a young man in the form of an IDF in a good Ukrainian campaigns campaigns with combat experience to leave Ukraine and go to fight in the Israeli army for his three times a larger salary. We approve of a similar approach - the fewer good specialists will remain in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the better for Russia. The only thing is not entirely clear how exactly everyone can leave Ukraine. ”
Similar messages appeared in other Telegram channels, including "Observer"(195,000 views),"Alexander Semchenko"(82 000),"Russian format"(35,000),"New 🅉 Ukraine"(33,000),"Objective Evgen"(26,000),"Russia is Putin today"(25,000),"ATO Donetsk 🅉 | News"(17,000),"Avdeevka.ru"(14,000),"Pavel Onishchenko"(13,000),"News and reports of the DPR"(13,000) and"Kaif Dagestan"(10,000). Thousands of views received posts with video on VKontakte (examples here, here, here And here) and in the social network X (former Twitter; here, here And here). In addition, there are publications on Japanese And English languages with English subtitles.
The distributed 30-second video is a recording of the device screen on which the posted on YouTube was opened clip For the song Donat Speak No Dubt groups. However, instead of a music video, the platform allegedly first demonstrated an advertisement in which a person in the form of an Israeli army pronounces in Ukrainian:
Guys, hello everyone! Recently I returned from the front and thought about my prospects. I came across an advertisement for joining the IDF. They really need specialists with real combat experience. (At that moment, on a red background appears link On the English -speaking material The official website of the Israeli Defense Army, which tells how to join the IDF. - approx. Ed.) It is in Ukraine that there are now a lot of such people. In our homeland, I served in artillery by a sergeant, here I became ordinary, but I get three times more, and soon the consideration of the application for citizenship will end. IDF is a powerful modern army. Here you can quickly climb the career ladder, and your family will certainly find a place in Israel. (A link to the IDF website again appears. - Approx. Ed.) Follow the link specified in the description. See you!
In the upper part of the video, the phrase on the Hebrew is posted “It is important to share!”, And in the lower on the black background there are Ukrainian subtitles in which an error is made. The following phrase appears at the mark of 00:25: “I is your homeland Obov'yazkovo know the Mass in Izravil”, although in the dative case the Ukrainian word “yourself” written Like "Sob". Moreover, this error is not only in the text - a person in the video also pronounced this word wrong.

The earliest publications with the alleged YouTube advertising “verified” found in Russian-speaking Telegram channels ”Release Kraken!"(69,000 views) and"Rough? Sorry!”(7000; in this version, Russian subtitles and the channel logo are imposed on the video), where the video was posted on November 1 at 15:47 and 15:52 Moscow time, respectively. The authors of both posts argue that an anonymous subscriber sent them a recording - fake distributors often make such a registration. At the same time, some publications say that this advertisement “is increasingly seeing the viewers of YouTube located in Ukraine”, but there is only one record on the network, and with the Russian -language interface of the platform. “The Nazis to the Nazis. Our subscriber noticed a wonderful thing - if you sit on YouTube with the Ukrainian VPN, then an advertisement flies through, through which the IDF recruits Bandera with combat experience, ”write in the channel“ release Kraken! ”. However, in the viral video next to the name of the platform is the letter of the FR, appropriate France. In the Ukrainian version of YouTube, the logo says UA.

Since the black background of subtitles in the alleged advertising constantly changes its location, it was “verified” that the initially there could be another text that was inaccurately hidden, simultaneously replacing the sound path. With the help of the opposite Search By the pictures in the Google Lens service, we found out that the original 40-second video appeared In the verified Tiktok account of the Israeli defense army on October 9, 2023. However, in the original there is not a word about the appeal of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the IDF. In fact, a person from the video in Hebrew talked about important phone numbers, including the hotline of the help service and psychological assistance to the military. Accordingly, in the lower part of the video traffic against a translucent background were subtitles in Hebrew, and not in Ukrainian, and telephone numbers were shown on a red background.
In addition, it was “verified” that a person’s mouth in a real video and in a fake differ. Apparently, to create a fake, the authors took advantage of the application that, with the help of the neural network, “voiced” the fabricated video and changed the movement of the lips of the Israeli soldier.

Thus, on YouTube, such an advertisement was not shown with the recruitment of Ukrainians into the army of Israel. Initially, this fake video appeared in the pro-Kremlin Telegram channels, and the fake is based on a genuine video published in the social networks of the IDF, in which unknown replaced the original voice acting and subtitles.
