At the end of September 2023, a video began to spread in social networks, which stated that the Security Service of the President of Ukraine had a fight with visitors to one of the New York bars. This allegedly happened during the days of Zelensky’s visit to the UN General Assembly. We decided to check if this is so.
On September 24, a video appeared on social networks, allegedly shot by USA Today, which talked about an incident with the participation of a Ukrainian guard. It was claimed that he got drunk in one of the New York bars and began to force other visitors to shout “Glory to Ukraine!”, After which he was beaten. This was reported by some Russian media, for example, the website of the TV channel "Tsargrad" And "Gazeta.ru", As well as such Telegram channels as"Live broadcast"(724,000 views at the time of writing this analysis),"NE.SAHAR"(302 000),"Solovyov"(301 000),"Zerada"(251 000),"Uncle Glory"(229 000),"Observer👁️"(218 000) and"Putin in Telegram"(200,000).

The source of this news is a video lasting a little more than a minute with the logo of the American publication USA Today. In it, shots with Zelensky in the UN General Assembly alternate from a street brawl video. September 18 President of Ukraine Arrived In New York, September 19 He performed at the General Assembly, September 20 - on meetings UN Security Council. September 21, he held a few meetings In New York and on the same day He went To Washington.
It is alleged that the security guard incident occurred on September 21 at The Campbell Bar institution near the UN headquarters.

However, the REUTERS agency fact draws attention to the fact that the video shows a street that is unlike the one where located The mentioned bar. The video has a completely different area of New York-not Manhattan, but Brooklyn. The street where the fight is taking place is QUENTIN ROAD. Despite the low quality of the video and night time, it is possible to distinguish several signs on the record, including SOHO Boutique.

Exactly the same sign on the same houses is found on the service Google Street View at 1113, Quentin Road.

This building is not next to the UN headquarters in New York, but in four hours walk from it (the path by taxi takes from 40 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic jams).

It was not possible to determine the date of the fight itself - on the short fragments of the video, the faces were smeared, and the recording of too low quality. However, in the fragment of the video, which captures the surveillance of surveillance cameras, the date is partially visible.

The viral video states that these are shots inside the bar, where the Ukrainian allegedly arranged. But, judging by the numbers, the record was made either on October 7 of an unknown year, or (if it is the United States, where the date of the month / day is adopted) on July 10, 16 or 18 of the unknown year. None of these dates coincides with the time of Zelensky’s visit to the United States (September 19–22, 2023).
After publishing a video in Russian social networks, the USA Today editors considered it necessary to make refutation. Its representative said that the video that was issued for the plot of USA Today has never been published by this media. In addition, the publication held its own fact and turned to the owner of The Campbell Bar - he replied that nothing of the kind happened in his institution. The representative of the New York police also gave his comment to the publication and noted that the law enforcement agencies are known about the incident in the viral video.
The earliest publication of the viral video that managed to find "verified" is a post in the Telegram channel "Military observer"(58,000 views), posted on September 24 at 14:54 Moscow time.
Thus, we can conclude that the message about the fight that the Zelensky Security Service allegedly started in the New York bar, Fake. In the video, shots of places and incidents were collected, in no way interconnected, and then the USA Today logo was added to them.
