In September 2023, a quote from a popular TikToker circulated in the media and social networks, which supposedly contained an explanation for his return to the Russian Federation. At the same time, some publications believe that Milokhin did not actually fly to Russia at all. We have verified the accuracy of such publications.
Is it true that Did Milokhin actually fly to Russia?
At the beginning of September 2023 in the media and social networks appeared messages that abandoned country in 2022 and a video blogger who lived in Dubai for a long time flew to Russia. However, on September 9 and 11, two “revelatory” articles were published on the website of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper under the headings “Danya Milokhin did not arrive in Moscow: the fugitive blogger checks the public's reaction and blatantly lies" And "Danya Milokhin wants to return to Russia, but is settling into life in Dubai" The materials referred to a certain “star producer”, according to whom the blogger was still playing a prank on everyone in order to test the reaction of the audience and the media to his return. It is also reported that no one is happy about Milokhin’s supposed arrival and that he is very afraid to fly to Russia.
Other media outlets referred to the materials of Komsomolskaya Pravda, for example the website “Main regional" and newspaper "Sight" It was also written that Milokhin probably remained in the UAE EADaily, Pravda.ru, Starhit And Womanhit.
On September 8, 2023, some media reported that TikToker published in Instagram stories* photos from the plane, and then posted pictures taken on Red Square. Moreover, one of them depicts another blogger - Aslan Shukasha. The reason for his arrival Milokhin explained to Super.ru: “I wanted to see close friends whom I had not seen for a long time. I miss them." The site's editors clarified that they are glad to see the blogger return.
On the same day in his Telegram channel Shukasha published joint video with Milokhin and signed it: “A man’s first time in Moscow” (the video was recorded at the airport). On YouTube, in turn, you can find video entitled “September 8, Domodedovo Airport, the escaped rat Danya Milokhin was spotted” (the author’s spelling and punctuation are preserved), where the bloggers are captured in the same clothes. September 9 in Milokhin’s verified public page on VKontakte appeared entry: “I’m in 🇷🇺❤️”, and on the 11th I was there published photo of a man wearing the same clothes as the TikToker (face hidden) standing next to a Russian police car.
“Verified” also studied TikTok accounts Milokhin And Shukashi and found there many of their joint videos, filmed in Moscow (for some indicated corresponding geotag) and published in September 2023. For example, there are videos filmed in GUM, in the background Moscow City, Cathedral of Christ the Savior And St. Basil's Cathedral.
In addition, Milokhin was captured by people walking around Moscow. So, a story with a tiktoker was published by an athlete Bayram Kakhrumanov and a blogger under the nickname kanvool. Both videos were filmed near restaurant Maritozzo on Patriarch's Ponds. A video with Milokhin, recorded in the same location, appeared and in the Telegram channel of the Peopletalk publication.
However, on the evening of September 11 in the Telegram channel Mash and on the website "Komsomolskaya Pravda“An interview with Milokhin’s adoptive father was published. According to him, the TikToker could have played a prank on everyone and not come to the Russian Federation at all: “Honestly, I don’t know myself - he didn’t call me and he didn’t call [brother] Ilya either. We had information from a reliable source [close to the blogger] that Danya was in Moscow: so, maybe he flew in for one day. But he could also joke: his phone is full of different videos - archival ones: he could put on anything. It’s the same with photos.”
On the same day at 19:43 Moscow time Mash reportedthat Milokhin, who returned to Russia, will allegedly be called up for military service in the Russian Army at the next draft. The head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, sent a corresponding appeal to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, what she means wrote on my Telegram a minute after Mash’s post. At the same time, the blogger’s adoptive father doubtedthat Milokhin may be called up because he has poor eyesight. News about a possible draft in a conversation with the Daily Storm refuted Tiktoker representative: “The information is false. We are not commenting further at this time.” On the morning of September 12, Mash reported that Milokhin flew out to Dubai from Moscow Vnukovo airport at 00:50, and attached a screenshot with his flight details (such flight really was). Again a minute later Mizulina is in her channel called Milokhin’s return to the UAE is “the result of the consolidation and unity of civil society, which our president speaks of”: “I thank everyone for their support, we are working.”
The blogger did not directly comment on the news on his social networks, but on the evening of September 11 in Instagram stories wrote: “Oh damn...”, and the next day on VKontakte posted his photo with the caption: “These haters again.”
Thus, there is no reason to believe that Milokhin staged his arrival, as stated in Komsomolskaya Pravda and other media. The artist and his friend published many photos and videos from Moscow, and the blogger was also photographed by passers-by on the streets of the capital. In addition, despite the words of Milokhin’s adoptive father, the tiktoker stayed in Russia for several days, not just one.
Did you say Milokhin, what gave Russia a second chance?
The entire quote attributed to the tiktoker is: “I left in the heat of the moment, it was stupid to break all ties. As you get older, you become more tolerant and realize that countries, like people, deserve a second chance. I’m giving this chance, that’s why I’m here.” Since September 9, 2023, this phrase as a quote from Milokhin began to spread through pro-government Telegram channels, the authors of which in the same posts called the blogger a clown and called for him to be given a summons to the army. Similar posts appeared in the channels “The world of Mikhail Onufrienko"(263,000 views at the time of writing this analysis), "Truthfulness"(207,000), "Observer"(190,000), "First People's"(136,000), Voblya (132,000), "Operation Z"(117,000), "Olesya Loseva"(113,000), "Scott Ritter on Telegram" (101,000) and "Russia 2.0"(52,000). Due to a viral quote, the author of the channel “Kirill Fedorov / War history weapons"(121,000 views) called Milokhin and his audience "3.14daras." Among the media, Milokhin’s words were reported, for example, EADaily, TVcenter, "Express newspaper" And "Morning south" Many publications reported the story through the reaction of actor Oscar Kucera, who was on his telegram wrote (30,000 views): “Yes, you’re not mistaken, he’s giving you and me a second chance. Not us to him. “Verified” did not find a similar quote in any of the blogger’s social networks; The authors of news notes and posts also did not report where exactly Milokhin said or wrote these words. Earliest post with a quote about second chances by a TikToker appeared in the Telegram channel “but here’s my Yandex wallet.” There, the post was posted on September 9 at 8:59 and received more than 33,000 views. At the same time, in the channel description directly indicated, that the entries in it are satirical in nature: “A parody, a satire on political reality. Only verified fakes.”
The next day, September 10, with the caption “The prank was a success,” the author of the channel “but my Yandex wallet” published six screenshots of posts from those Telegram channels where the joke was taken seriously. Among them "Ne.Sugar"(270,000 views), Colonelcassad (267,000 views), "Uncle Slava"(202,000), "Gasparyan" (83,000), as well as "Sheikh Tamir” (127,000), where the fake quote was commented as follows: “This is everything you need to know about the thinking of liberals.” The sixth channel was "Notes from a veteran"(348,000 views), where a few minutes after the post with the quote came out another publication with the words: “It’s a joke, not a joke, the fact remains a fact - a runaway scarecrow, singing anthem of Ukraine, returned to Russia." This is a semi-refutation reposted Vladimir Solovyov’s channel (257,000 views). Released refutation and publication Readovka (898,000 views): “One of these [jokes] was almost taken seriously by several respected channels, publishing allegedly the words of Milokhin that he was “giving a second chance to this country.” It is not reported which “respected channels” we are talking about.
Thus, as has happened more than once, the authors of large Telegram channels and employees of some media either did not want to find the original source of information before publication, or did not pay attention to the disclaimer. "Verified" already sorted it out 13 other cases when fake messages from “here is my Yandex wallet” were passed off as real news. This is not the first time that this satirical channel’s publications are associated with artists who left Russia: previously, fake quotes went viral Coins** And Charlotte.
