In August 2023, a video diverged in the Russian-speaking Telegram channels, in which little girls take out from the boxes adult goods and begin to twirl them in their hands. We checked whether the descriptions are correct under such publications.
On a 32-second video attached to the posts, masked girls alternately extract various sex toys from the boxes and try to guess why these items are needed (in Dutch there are versions of the “Rockbrush”, “Open” and “Fleeter”). As the description says, such gifts were handed to children on the air of the TV show.
With a similar commentary, the video spread through resources such as "Mriya","Zen","VKontakte","The main regional" And "YaPlakal". The news has gained particular popularity thanks to Telegram channels Topor Live (418,000 views at the time of writing this analysis), "Truha tin 18+"(340 000),"Veronika Stepanova"(319 000),"Observer"(206 000), Voblya (146,000) and "Bottle"(126 000).
The issues of sexual education of minors in the West and associated risks often attract the attention of Russian Media. Indeed, in many European countries there are sex education programs in schools, the main goal of which is to give minors all the necessary information so that the beginning of their sexual life is conscious and safe. In particular, in the Netherlands, lessons about sexual and reproductive health appeared several decades ago, schoolchildren visit them without fail in elementary grades (that is, from four years). Thus, the idea of the creators of the video was to show the contrast between the two worlds and to call on society to pay more attention to the problems of dysfunctional countries, including the much smaller security of minors there. Nevertheless, social advertising six years ago caused a polemic in the West, because shots with anonymous girls holding sex toys were not mounted. One way or another, but the signatures with which a shortened video with girls distributed in 2023 in the Russian -language segment of the Internet (and not only in it) are incorrect. In the original, this was not a television show, but social advertising, and in its full version the emphasis was on the fact that it is unacceptable to ignore the sexual exploitation of children in some countries, while their peers live safely in others.
