Is it true that webcam models from Ukraine raised money for the OCU through OnlyFans?

In April 2023, reports appeared that Ukrainian webcam girls, commissioned by the SBU, recorded an “Easter” video for the OnlyFans service in order to raise money for the needs of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. We have verified the veracity of this news.

Similar publications were widely distributed on Telegram. According to their authors, Ukrainian content creators on OnlyFans sell their erotic photographs and send part of the proceeds to the needs of the OCU. It is noted that the advertising of such fees was paid for by the Security Service of Ukraine: “It is not specified how much of the “donations” the webcam girls will keep for themselves and how much they will give to the employers of the SBU.” In addition, a screenshot of a publication on OnlyFans, which is allegedly dedicated to collecting Easter donations, is provided as evidence. “The girls talk about how they pray for the OCU and teach them how to properly prepare for Easter,” it says in the Telegram channel of TV presenter Ruslan Ostashko (102,000 views at the time of writing this analysis).

On April 10 and 11, entries about Ukrainian webcam models sponsoring the OCU in such an unusual way appeared in the channels “Sheikh Tamir"(155,000 views), "Kirill Fedorov / War history weapons"(111,000), "Ukraine.ru"(78,000), "First patriotic" (59,000), "Dill fresh"(6500) and Know the truth (6500), as well as on some websites.

On the platform OnlyFans You can publish original content, which subscribers usually receive access to for a monthly fee. Although Internet users most often use this service associated with the sale of erotic photos and videos, they also make money from their creativity comedians, wrestlers, fitness trainers, chef, musicians and representatives of other professions.

The Russian-language publication for April 7, 2023, which was included in the viral screenshot, says the following: “Easter cookies with Anya | Train with Ty. Get ready for Easter with @trainwithtay And @inspiredbyanyawhile they decorate cute and festive cookies and pray in honor of the OCU! All money collected will go to the needs of the OCU! Help Ukraine prepare for Easter! 🐣 For more, watch OFTV.” "Verified" found fast with the same illustrative materials on the platform’s website, however, in the original publication the text was in English and there was not a word about the OCU and Ukraine. Apart from the screenshot distributed on the RuNet, we were unable to find any evidence that the page previously looked different.

The girls whose images were included in the fake screenshot are registered on OnlyFans under the nicknames Train with Tay and Inspired by Anya. According to their profile descriptions, in addition to creating erotic content, Tay tells about fitness and a healthy lifestyle, and Anya shares with fans with creative creative ideas. At the same time, it is not indicated anywhere that the girls are in any way connected with Ukraine or collect money for the OCU.

As for the video itself, a preview of which was also included in the viral screenshot, it published open access; no subscription or one-time donation is required to view it. The video is really dedicated to Easter, and the girls actually prepared holiday cookies in the shape of Easter bunnies and eggs. Duet also recorded the second video was where they painted eggs. However, in both videos there were no “prayers in honor of the OCU”, nor calls to donate money to the Ukrainian church; Ukraine was not mentioned there at all.

We assume that the fake screenshot was made by simply editing the page code. The unknown person first performed an automatic translation of the publication into Russian using Google Translate or a similar service (this explains the inaccuracies), and then added phrases about Ukraine and the OCU in the corresponding line of code. It only takes a minute to create such a fake.
