For several years now, on social networks you can see a photograph of two people presented as the head of the government of a European country and his life partner. We checked whether this signature corresponds to reality.
In the picture we see two people walking up the red carpet. One of them is wearing a dress with a low neckline. Under the photo it is indicated that in front of us is “Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel with his wife Destiny Gauthier.” In some publications, Gauthier is called Bettel's "husband".
Only one publication This photo on the social network Facebook, taken by a Russian-speaking user, received more than 1,800 reposts, and in total there are more than a dozen such posts. At various times, a photo with a similar description was popular in Telegram, in "VKontakte"and on some entertainment sites ("I'm writing to you"). A photo with this caption went viral on others languages.
Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel has held his position since 2013. By that time, he had already come out, and on May 15, 2015, the 42-year-old politician concluded marriage to his partner, 36-year-old Belgian architect Gautier Destne.
