Is it true that Poland is exporting chernozem from the territory of Ukraine?

In March 2023, a video spread in the Russian media and social networks, in which chernozem was supposedly from the territory of Ukraine to Poland. Russian officials also spoke about this. We decided to check if this information is true.

In early March 2023, a video with signatures in Polish appeared in social networks, in which the truck body is allegedly filled with earth in the Kherson region, and then the truck crosses the Polish border. This video was widely dispersed through social networks. For example, him Objected In his Telegram channel, TV presenter Ruslan Ostashko with a commentary “Polish migrant workers were driven into the Kherson region for the export of Ukrainian Chernozem.” The post scored 127,000 views. The video spread in other social networks - for example, in "VKontakte". The Russian media also wrote about this: the removal of Chernozem from Ukraine was devoted to a report on the TV channel "Russia 24", This was written by the website of the television channel"Tsargrad". Finally, the video did not ignore the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. “On the Internet there were video frames on which the Polish“ allies ”of Kyiv Kiev Fours are exporting Ukrainian chernozem. Doesn't it remind you? Only then Poland was on the other side of history. During the Great Patriotic War, the Nazis exported chernozem. In the form of such a stroke of state scale, the events of those years are repeated, ”Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.

The duration of the video is 25 seconds. It consists of two parts under the general name "How my day has passed." The first 15 seconds. The excavator loads the land into a truck. This part is indicated by the subtitle "Kherson region". The place where the second action takes place, indicated as the mouse is a small city in the Silesian Voivodeship of Poland, closer to the border with the Czech Republic. In the second part, the truck just rides along the road. In the blogs where the video spread, it was assumed that this is the same truck that took out fertile Ukrainian soil to Poland.

AFP factory service Spent Analysis of this publication. The earliest appearance of the video dates from March 3. The first to him Published Russian user Telegram under the name Sheikh Tamir. But the source of this video could not be found. AFP first of all tried to establish what kind of truck it was. Details of the cabin are visible in the second part of the video:

On the steering wheel in the lower part of the frame you can see the emblem. Upon closer examination, it becomes obvious that this is a symbol Scania, Swedish truck manufacturer. For comparison - this is the frame from the official Twitter Companies:

Other details are visible on the first part of the video, namely - a body and chassis.

AFP compared the truck from the video with existing models and came to the conclusion that it was a Chinese -made Shaacman dump truck, popular both in Russia and in Ukraine. Presumably, we are talking about Modifications F3000. The fact also drew attention to the air filter (in the red circle from below). AFP turned to a representative of the Ukrainian transport company, and he confirmed that this detail is not characteristic of Scania, but for Shacman. Scania also reported that in their trucks the air filter looks different.

Thus, two completely different trucks are presented in the video. It remains to determine why they are loaded into the ground in the first of them. Even if we assume that this happens in Ukraine (there are no details proving this in the video), then the process of excavation precisely the Chernozem seems doubtful. Construction specialists interviewed AFP, suggested that we can talk about the removal of the upper soil layer, the first stage of almost any construction work, from the construction of the house to laying the road.

In addition, the export of Chernozem is legally impossible either by Ukrainian laws or by European. Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine prohibits illegal mining of minerals and soils. And the EU regulations does not allow The import of any soil into the territory of the Union countries.

Other videos from the Ukrainian or Polish side that would confirm the export of Chernozem from Ukraine could not be found. And the video, which was dispersed through social networks and has become an occasion for the statement of Maria Zakharova, is made of two parts that are in no way interconnected.
