Is it true that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine forbade the name of the gray hare Rusaku?

In January 2023, Russian media reported that Ukrainian deputies forbade residents of the country to call a hare Rusaku. As evidence, a fragment of the broadcast on the local television channel was given. We checked the reliability of these messages.

In mid-January, 2023, a 22-second video dispersed over the network, the author of which shot a TV showing the plot of the Ukrainian television channel about defense Donetsk airport in 2014-2015. At the mark 0:08, the following news is visible on the running line in the lower part of the screen: “The gray hare will be banned to be called a hare-Razak-the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine” (translation from the Ukrainian language). In the upper right corner of the screen on which the broadcast was marked, the “1 + 1” logo is noticeable.

To begin with, on the websites of the Ukrainian media we could not find a single news notes that the Ukrainian parliament voted for a similar ban on the name of the eared animal. Moreover, on the official site Verkhovna Rada, as in her official Facebook And Twitter, there are no references to the prohibitions related to hares-Rusaks.

All the publications we discovered uses the same video that captures the TV, which is broadcasting news gear. On some resources Markthat it was the broadcast “on the main television channel of the country” (“1 + 1” really regularly occupies First place in the ranking of the most popular television channels of Ukraine). It seems unlikely that in this case, only one user managed to record and lay out the moment with the mention of the ban on the running line.

In addition, we could not find an official record of the broadcast with a similar running line. The program, the fragment of which was encircled on the network, was broadcast on the channel "1 + 1 marathon»As part of the TEMARAPHAPHON" EDIDIA ". This broadcast took place on January 16, 2023, we found its eight -hour entry in the official Facebook Programs "Television Service of News" (TSN). It was not possible to establish the source from which the wave of reports of the messages about the fictional ban was “verified”. Therefore, the situation in which the broadcast recording was corrected after the media drew attention to the run in the running line, and then laid out the edited version, is excluded.

Thus, based on all the above arguments, we can say with confidence that the recording of the broadcast with the running line on the ban on the ban in Ukraine to call the gray hare Rusakom is falsified, and the ban itself is invented.
