A video has spread on social networks according to which Russian woman Yulia Prokhorova, notorious for her videos in support of the “special operation” in Ukraine, was deported from Germany. We have checked whether this information is reliable.
Viral video, in which a girl, accompanied by German police, leaves the waiting area of a Berlin airport, received several million views in a few days Telegram, "VKontakte", Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. Telegram channel Readovka published the video and signed: “Yulia Prokhorova, who lived in Germany, was deported, accusing her of being in the country illegally.” According to the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko, Prokhorova was “deported and sent by plane to Istanbul under police supervision.” A Facebook account Nexta added that the basis for deportation was Prokhorova’s support for the “war of aggression.” The Russian woman wrote about the deportation as Russian, so Ukrainian Media.
Russian woman Yulia Prokhorova, who lives, according to her words, in Germany since 2020, has become famous on the Internet for her publications in support of what she calls a Russian “special operation in Ukraine.” In one of the videos, published in her Telegram channel “N Kremlin Valley N”, Prokhorova dances “Kalinka” in Munich in front of a crowd of pro-Ukrainian demonstrators. IN friend video of her chasing Ukrainian girls in Austria, shouting: “Girls, glory to Russia! Russia will win, Russia will win! Whose Kherson? Yes, yes, yes, Ukraine. A referendum is already being held.” You can also find videos on the Internet in which Prokhorova dancing to the sounds of exploding Russian shells in the city of Dnieper, wipes himself a letter from the German police or advises Kremlin supporters in Germany to increase their energy consumption in order to “support the Russian army.” In March 2022, Prokhorova wrote in his Telegram channel: “I want to return to Russia... I’m really scared here. Planes don't fly here, trains don't run here. I don’t understand why Germany wants war with us for the third time?”

November 20 Russian edition of The Insider published article with the headline “A Russian woman who insulted Ukrainian refugees was deported from Germany (video).” According to the article, The Insider's correspondent witnessed the incident at the Berlin airport and filmed the scene on video. In the 30-second video, two police officers approach the girl and then leave with her somewhere. The video file itself was uploaded to YouTube hosting by The Insider channel. The caption states that the woman, accompanied by police, was boarded on a Berlin-Istanbul flight. The only reason to believe that it is Prokhorov in the video is some external resemblance. After The Insider was published, many Telegram users began posting shorter excerpts of the original video with their channel logos superimposed on top (for example, Readovka And RVvoenkory).

However, as it turned out later, the girl in the published video is not Yulia Prokhorova. November 22, the prosecutor's office of the German city of Landshut refuted information about the deportation of the Russian woman, saying that Prokhorova is still in Germany and there is no reason to believe that she intended to leave the country. German Federal Police too confirmedthat the woman in the video “is not Ms. Prokhorova.” And The Insider itself added original article:
“Updated: The day after this publication was published, The Insider’s source in German law enforcement agencies reported that Yulia Prokhorova is still in Germany. On November 22, Deutsche Welle, citing the press secretary of the prosecutor’s office of the Bavarian city of Landshut, Martin Strunz, confirmed that Prokhorova did not leave German territory.”
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that rumors about Prokhorova’s deportation from Germany have appeared on the Internet. In September 2022, Prokhorova became the subject of similar speculation due to a TikTok she published.video, where she removes the Russian flag from the wall, shows her packed suitcases and says that she is leaving Germany (her account has now been deleted). Several TikTok users assumedthat the reason for Yulia’s departure was deportation due to her intolerant statements on social networks. In the end, it turned out that Prokhorova was just going on vacation to Austria for two weeks, which for some reason she didn’t mention in her TikTok video. Due to the confusion, Prokhorova was invited on the air on October 14 TV shows "Channel One" "Antifake". Julia got in touch from her Munich apartment, where she was defiantly sitting in a down jacket due to the heating supposedly not working in Europe (10:59). On the air, Yulia refuted the fake news about deportation that Ukrainian propaganda “spreads everywhere” about her. By “everywhere” Julia apparently meant one publication Ukrainian portal about the cultural and social life of Odessa “Kulturometer” and several posts on TikTok.

Currently, Yulia Prokhorova does not have a residence permit in Germany, that is, she located It's illegal there. At the same time, the deportation of Russians is currently suspended due to the lack of direct flights between Russia and Germany. According to German legislation, deportation cannot take place if transport options are unavailable or transport links to the host country are interrupted.
Thus, we can say with confidence that at the time of publication of the video from the airport, Yulia Prokhorova was in Germany. False information began to spread due to inaccurate information from The Insider, which soon realized and corrected its mistake. However, even after the publication of a refutation, false news about Prokhorova’s deportation continued to spread in the media and social networks.
