In mid-March 2021, Russian media disseminated revealing information: it allegedly turned out that globalists are interested in seriously reducing the planet’s population to free up resources. We checked how plausible this news is.

On March 19, the Tsargrad channel shared the following news:

“An American conservative publication has revealed the globalists’ plan to destroy humanity. According to the Vaccines.news resource, everyone must die: globalists are interested in “the destruction of all humanity.”

The American conservative anti-globalist resource Vaccines.news spoke about the globalists’ plan to destroy humanity. The author of the material, Mike Adams, believes that globalists are interested in a serious reduction in the planet's population.

“To understand why the globalists are actively working to exterminate all of humanity, you must first understand their plans for themselves. They believe in transhumanism and think that they are going to move from carbon-based life to silicon-based life by “downloading” their consciousness into machines,” the author of the material believes.

He is convinced that globalists believe in the power of artificial intelligence. And they believe that, once literally inside the machines, they will be able to gain immortality and strength. That is, in essence, they challenge God. However, the development of artificial intelligence requires enormous resources.

And now billions of people use water and minerals. If humanity is almost completely destroyed, this will free up resources for the globalists’ plan, the author of the material believes. As a result, it will be possible to create a “new silicon kingdom.”

The Vaccines.news resource actually has article on a similar topic by a certain Mike Adams, posted on March 17. It is somewhat broader than the quoted part, and the following passages are striking:

“This is why globalists say they are waging a 'war on carbon.' All people are made of carbon. They believe that all humans must die in order to achieve immortality using silicon for their own lives.

COVID-19 vaccines are the perfect weapon of mass destruction because stupid, gullible people line up and voluntarily commit “vaccine suicide.” This is an ideal setup for the globalists because they don't have to worry about shooting people, gassing them, or even just detaining them. A herd of sheep voluntarily commit suicide, thinking that they are “smart people” who have “done their research” and trust “authoritative sources.”

So, the Tsargrad channel missed an important detail in its quotation - in the original source, all the rhetoric was based on the supposed harm (and fatal) of vaccination. In other words, we are dealing with a marginal category of Covid dissidents - anti-vaxxers. It can be stated once again that all the largest international organizations, the entire vanguard of world medicine, withdrawn COVID-19 vaccines play a critical role in combating the pandemic and do not question their general usefulness. By data WHO, most reports about the dangers of vaccines are false. Moreover, the activities of anti-vaxxers, which led to refusal of vaccination, more than once turned around outbreak of the epidemic, which means it claimed more than one human life. Therefore, the fight against the popularization of this conspiracy theory in the media is very important.

Now about transhumanism. According to definition, is “a philosophical concept that is based on the idea of improving the physical, mental and emotional qualities of humans through technology. Adherents of the movement believe that the latest developments will save people from aging, death and incurable diseases.” How does this definition correlate with the basic ideas of globalism? The latter, according to dictionary, this is “the principle of approach in theory and politics to the formation, organization, functioning and development of the world as an integral economic, sociocultural and political supersystem. Globalism means that modern humanity is viewed not as a simple sum, a collection of more or less isolated countries and peoples, but as a single whole, a fundamentally new world-wide, global system, all the structural elements of which (countries, peoples, etc.) are in the closest and steadily deepening interconnection and interdependence.” As we can see, there is very little in common between these two approaches, so it is obvious that not all globalists are transhumanists, and not all transhumanists are globalists. Moreover, the definition of transhumanism involves aspects (getting rid of aging, death) that today are classified as science fiction. As for globalism, you can share it or not share it main ideas, but one cannot help but admit that globalization is quite real process (especially in economics), which has been changing the lives of many countries in one direction or another for many decades and promoted many leading representatives of the humanities. So there is no basis for identifying transhumanism and globalism, even if some representatives of the second are supporters of the ideas of the first. Nevertheless, the Tsargrad channel is not the first time publishes articles that connect these two phenomena.

As for the worship of silicon and the transition to life based on it instead of carbon, this concept, even within the framework of the ideas of transhumanism, is fantastic and practically unrealizable due to several factors. Not to mention the connection with globalism. One of the reasons for the frequent joint mention of silicon and globalists was the widely circulated information that supposedly the bosses of Silicon Valley enterprises are globalists. Even if this information is correct, the logical progression from silicon in the locality nickname (caused by the use of silicon in integrated circuits) to silicon people is completely unfounded. Of course, some transhumanists connect their dreams with the future development of technology in Silicon Valley, but this does not make enterprises located in the region a tool in their hands, and even more so does not allow them to equate globalists with fans of non-protein life. It's also interesting that some transhumanists They're betting on carbon.

And, finally, about the destruction of the planet's population. Neither the article nor the podcast provides substantiated evidence that the globalists have adopted such an idea. However, such accusations are far from new. For example, Bill Gates, one of the most associated people in the world with Silicon Valley, is regularly suspected of promoting this approach. Then he allegedly “wants reduce the world's population using vaccines," then places the inscription “Center for Declining the Earth’s Population” in front of the building of his foundation. Of course, such statements are easily debunked by fact checkers (see links above), but they turn out to be surprisingly tenacious in the mass consciousness. At the same time, Gates is open supporter globalization, which was one of the main reasons for his election by anti-globalists as their constant target.

Globalists, like supporters of many other ideologies, are concerned about the rate of growth of the Earth's population against the backdrop of limited resources and anthropogenic influence on the Earth's climate. Many call the “globalists’ Bible” a report published in 1972 to the Club of Rome entitled “Limits to growth" In it, the authors modeled the distribution of goods on Earth in a few decades to understand when humanity would reach a shortage and global economic decline. It should be noted that none of the possible scenarios, according to the authors’ calculations, led to the “end of civilization” or “extinction of humanity.” And, what’s more important, the solutions neither in the first nor in the subsequent models of the report included any artificial reduction in the world’s population. The discussion was only about limiting the birth rate at the legislative level as a possible measure. Reducing growth rates is not a reduction in population, and birth control is not the killing of people who have already been born.

As we can see, almost every statement in the original article does not stand up to criticism. Nevertheless, the conspiracy theory of the new world order, which after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic received a new turn popularity (“first the global government wanted to destroy the world’s population with the help of COVID-19, and now through a vaccine against it”), continues to be spread by many world media.
