Nikolai Bulganin was a marshal of the Soviet Union and was part of Stalin's immediate circle. There are many memories of him, but one of them sounds very strange: allegedly, having drunk in the company of ballerinas, Bulganin tied the pantalons of one of them to the mop and forced the generals to kiss them, and the refusal gave the order to arrest. We checked whether this story or fiction is true.

When the generals refused, the Marshal of the Soviet Union ordered the Metordotel to call the duty officer of the commandant’s office with a platoon of security and gave the command to the arrived Colonel Sazonov to arrest the generals who refused to fulfill the order. Information about this event appeared not only in the blogs of anonymous users of LJ. The quote was in "Komsomolskaya Pravda" (In 2017, under the heading “The Stalin Marshal forced the generals to kiss the Pantalo Ballerin”), and in the publication "Private correspondent" (in 2015), and in the historical journal "Amateur" (in 2021).

In some cases, it was about secret documents that someone allegedly found in the archives, for example, in Komsomolskaya Pravda, the finder was attributed to the writer Gennady Sokolov. In others - just about a certain report of Beria Stalin, which allegedly described this incident. But the quote itself did not undergo any changes: a drunken Bulganin, ballerinas, pistalons of pistachio color.

In 2019, the question of where this story came from, I asked writer Vladimir Berezin, I figured it out This is the historian and archivist Igor Petrov. Such a detailed story was found in the source: publications 2007 on the site "Prose.ru". The text appeared behind the authorship of the user Fyodor Petrov-Mozhnikov, and he ended with the “resolution” of Stalin himself:

“The adult and the guarantees of Marshal Bulganin, who failed to prevent Bulganin’s brawl, lower in military ranks and send the Far Eastern Military District to undergo further military service in the Order of Lenin. The ballerin, with whom Bulganin enters into a connection, instruct on their personal responsibility for the prevention of the appearance of a drunken marshal Bulganin in an inevitable form in public places, with the exception of a hotel room. "

Obviously, the ironic text is duplicated in another place: on the website of the writer Nikolai Vladimirov (along with other texts of the user Fyodor Petrov-Mezhnikov). The sketch of Marshal Bulganin is placed in cycle, bearing the name "bikes sucked from the finger."

There, for example, there is a playful text of the document in which Dzerzhinsky allegedly proposed to conquer Tibet with the help of volatile detachments of specially trained large monkeys. Or an invented document on how Brezhnev asked the American ambassador about the possibility of political asylum. And there is even “information” that Nikita Khrushchev allegedly lived with a spinopas boy in his youth and performed “depraved actions” against him, and Gorbachev was made up of astrological forecasts every day.

In general, the Balerin does not have any factual basis about the drunk Bulganin and the Pantalons: this is an ironic story based on a fictional story. At the same time, he continues to spread to the media: he was already at least three books about Soviet figures. The quote appeared in book 2017 "Spying and Politics. Secret Reader ”, c publication 2018 "People's Commissar of Beria. A villain of development "and even in book 2021 "The Last Affairs of Lavrenty Beria."

At the same time, apparently, the fake of the drunken Bulganin and the Pantalons Ballerin was inspired by rumors about the marshal. If you try to find information about Bulganin and ballerinas until 2007, you can stumble upon several publications in which link on book “Around Stalin. Historical and biographical reference book ”, published in 2000 in St. Petersburg, mentions the phrase“ later I found out that he was an alcoholic and very much appreciated the ballerinas and singers from the Bolshoi Theater. ” It was written in his memoirs by the Soviet intelligence officer Pavel Sudoplatov. But the episode with the ballerinas, the Pantalones on the mop and the arrest of the generals did not appear in these memoirs.

Thus, the story of a drunken Bulganin has no factual evidence, this is an artistic story.
