There's a saying floating around the internet, "Perhaps if we paid these modern rappers less and teachers more, there would be more smart people and less shitty music in the future," attributed to movie star Tarantino. We checked to see if Jackson said anything like that.
The quote is very popular on social networks, but it also appears in other sources. For example, the phrase was included in the selection from 20 quotes from the actor from the AdMe.ru portal, and also appeared on various aphorism sites. The famous journalist Vladimir Solovyov also shared it in on your Telegram channel.
The statement is no less famous in the West - there it is usually distributed in the form of a screenshot of a tweet made by the actor. At one time, the picture was published by such popular (but not very reliable) resources as Occupy Democrats (more than 10 million subscribers) and The Other 98% (more than 6 million).
It should be noted that there are at least three versions of the “screenshot” of the viral tweet. They differ in almost everything: userpic, capitalization, font, presence of a hyphen, some words and even the user name (the letter L is missing):

This means that at least two screenshots are fake. At the same time, in all the pictures you can see a checkmark on a blue background, which means that the account marked with it has been verified. However, on this page There is no such tweet from the artist. As can be seen from Jackson’s other publications, he does not use optional capitalization at all, and prefers to convey obscene language not with asterisks, but original spelling.
In addition, if Jackson made such a tweet, it would inevitably be followed by retweets, which, if the original post was deleted, would still contain at least a comment from the person making the retweet. There are no similar publications on Twitter - the distributors (and this wave started at the beginning of 2018) for some reason chose a technically less convenient screenshot, and someone - the words RT (retweet) along with a quote, but without the actual link. But on Facebook, opening one of these posts, you may encounter warning “False information. Verified by independent fact checkers." Judging by the results of a Google search, Samuel L. Jackson did not make such a statement outside of social networks.
Thus, we can say with a high degree of confidence that the famous actor's quote about rappers and teachers is false. Why the unknown author decided to attribute these words to Jackson is a complex question. Perhaps because the American has already criticized representatives of this genre of music. In 2002 he stated, that they cannot be cast in leading roles in films, putting them on the same level as professional actors - like himself.
